The Science fair was a splashing success. For a memorable end to the day, Mr. Dunwoody (above) demonstrated the effects of non-Newtonian fluids for a crowd of students.

Please note the following corrections and clarifications to the May Calendar:
  • Thursday, May 14 was the last day for after-school activities.
  • Monday, May 25 will be a FULL DAY of school for students.
  • Thursday, May 28 there will be no school for students due to the Dragon Boat Festival. This is a new holiday that we just learned is a four-day national holiday. Students will have additional homework and online assignments on the 28th.
  • Friday, May 29 will be a normal school day
  • Entrepreneur's day has been moved from May 30 to June 6 (also due to the Dragon Boat Festival). On Entrepreneur's day, students can create a business of selling food, drinks, or homemade items, or they can run a game to earn money. Entrance fees and a percentage of profits are donated to charity.
Special thanks to the science fair organizers and the parent volunteers for helping to make this year's science fair a great learning experience for all.
